Created during a residency at Centre Matéria, in collaboration with the Maison des Métiers d’Arts de Québec, ALREADYMADE No. 2: Fountain transforms domestic and plumbing components into a circulating sculptural apparatus.

Copper tubing cools a White Canadian cocktail as it travels through the installation, while a tiled cube acts simultaneously as an altar and a machine.

The cube references Dialogue avec l’histoire by Jean-Pierre Raynaud, a sculpture gifted to Québec City by Paris in 1987 and demolished in 2024. Its reconfiguration evokes the disappearance and transformation of public artworks.

Between domestic ritual and industrial system, Fountain approaches sculpture as a process of circulation, where materials, liquids and gestures continuously acquire new functions.
